Two place probabilites, beliefs and belief revision: on the foundations of iterative belief kinematics

Abstract

Making use of van Fraassen's framework for defining beliefs from conditional probabilities, we provide a discussion of the issues and present some new technical results. We provide a complete characterization of countable spaces, show how belief revision can be defined naturally, even by propositions of probability 0, and give some axioms which are satisfied.
