Abstract

In this contribution investigate an alternative interpretation for Hintikka’s Independence Friendly logic. IF logic is not seen as an extensive game, but as a strategic game. We base our semantics on one assumption: the players are rational: they do not play a strategy if there is a better one. In this semantics signalling is not possible. The semantics gives more adequate results for certain linguistic applications.
