Journal Policies

Peer Review Policy

The review process follows a structured workflow:

  1. Manuscripts are submitted through the submission portal.
  2. Initial editorial checks are conducted by the Editorial Assistant and the Editors-in-Chief, evaluating if submissions meet the journal’s scope and basic criteria (e.g., regional focus, word limit, scientific merit).
  3. If a submission passes these checks, it is assigned to an Associate Editor based on their expertise.
  4. The Associate Editor decides whether the manuscript should be sent for peer review. If not, a desk rejection is issued with feedback for the author.
  5. For manuscripts that proceed to peer review, the Associate Editor suggests several potential reviewers. The Editors-in-Chief and the Editorial Assistant select the reviewers from this list.
  6. Reviewers provide written feedback based on standardized questions.
  7. The Associate Editor reviews the feedback and decides whether to reject, request revisions (revise and resubmit), or accept the manuscript.
  8. In case of revisions, reviewers are invited for further rounds of review if necessary.

Open Access Policy

This journal is an open access journal which means that all content is freely available without charge to users or their institutions. Users are permitted to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles, or to use them for any other lawful purpose, without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author. This journal does not charge article processing fees.

 

Archiving Policy

This journal utilises Portico and PKP Preservation Network to create permanent archives for the purposes of preservation and restoration.

Authors retain copyright and grant the journal the right of first publication. Articles are published under the license Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0), which allows others to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles, or to use them for any other lawful purpose, without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author. When reused, the authorship of the work must be stated and reference made to the original publication in this journal.
