Open Access Policy
Linguistics in Amsterdam is an open access journal, which means that all content is freely available without charge to users or their institutions. Users are permitted to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles, or to use them for any other lawful purpose, without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author. This journal does not charge article processing fees.
Research integrity
Linguistics in Amsterdam adheres to the best practices in the ethics of scholarly publishing stated in the COPE’s (Committee on Publication Ethics) Code of Conduct and Best Practice Guidelines for all parties involved: Authors, Reviewers and the Publisher. If you have questions or concerns regarding research integrity or publishing ethics in this journal, you may contact the editor.
Authorship
All listed authors of the article should have made a significant contribution to the work. Others who have assisted in preparing the paper should be acknowledged in the article.
Archiving policy
This journal utilises Portico and PKP Preservation Network to create permanent archives for the purposes of preservation and restoration.
Copyright and licensing
Authors retain copyright and grant the journal the right of first publication. Articles are published under the license Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0), which allows others to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles, or to use them for any other lawful purpose, without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author. When reused, the authorship of the work must be stated and reference made to the original publication in this journal.
Repository Policy
Authors are permitted to post and distribute all versions of their work in any format, including repositories, with an acknowledgement of its initial publication in this journal.
ORCID iD
Authors are encouraged to use their ORCID iD when submitting their manuscript.
Peer review policy
The editors will generally ask 1–2 members of the ACLC to (non-anonymously) review the submitted paper. In the context of a special issue, contributors may be invited to review each other’s submission. The author will be asked to incorporate the comments of the reviewers in the final submission. Authors are moreover required to submit a response letter with the revised version of their manuscript, detailing how they addressed the reviewers’ feedback. The aim is to be quick but thorough.
