Peer Review Policy

All Main Section articles undergo peer review, which is typically conducted by a member of the Advisory Board. Peer reviewers are selected based on their expertise in and familiarity with the article’s subject matter.

Once the author submits the first full version of the article—approximately twelve weeks after acceptance and six weeks after the initial draft—the Editorial Board forwards the manuscript to the peer reviewer. Reviewers are given six weeks to complete their assessment and are provided with a structured review form to guide their evaluation. The peer review focuses on content, structure, style, formatting, methodology, relevance, and the strength of the article’s conclusions.

In parallel with the peer review process, each article is edited by two members of the Editorial Board: a first reader and a second reader. The first reader remains involved throughout the entire editorial process, while the second reader rotates between stages. The first editing round is the most extensive and lasts six weeks. At the conclusion of this round, authors receive comprehensive feedback from the editors alongside the peer review report.

On the basis of both the peer review and the editorial assessment, the Editorial Board reserves the right to reject an article after the first editing round. In cases where further evaluation is needed, the peer reviewer may be invited to review a revised version of the article during the second editing round.
