Abstract

Visual art can make a direct connection with the highly digitised world through new techniques such as virtual reality. For poetry, this possibility seems less apparent. Poetry is language, and although language is also widely available online, the digital revolution is more difficult to grasp in a paper poetry collection. Maxime Garcia Diaz, however, knows how to deal with this in her radical debut collection Het is warm in de hivemind (It's warm in the hivemind). She gives poetry a completely new dimension by embracing the visual language of the internet with different language registers.
